Dress Up Your Workout Outfit.

Updated: Mar 8, 2019

I don't know if it was just realizing I was getting older, or happening to have an amazing workout buddy, or feeling very stressed due to schoolwork - but for some reason I started working out consistently for the first time in my life this summer.  I felt healthier, stronger, and more relaxed - and began to eat healthier as a byproduct.  AND I started buying cuter workout clothes, instead of just wearing whatever gross old pair of sweatpants I could dig out from the back of my closet.

I did a lot of hot yoga and generally wore leggings to class (the pair in the pictures is Mossimo - I've linked to a similar pair below, but these exact ones are still at Target right now).  I love the fit of Ivy Park and Zella, but there are also so many great leggings available everywhere in different price points, colors, and designs.  I tend to wear high-waisted leggings and tank tops with built-in lining, and found throwing on a warm vest or wrap makes you look put-together and keeps you cozy if you happen to be running errands or grabbing a bite before or after your workout.

I wear my Adidas Sambas way too much (since I take my shoes off at yoga), but I've also linked to some more cardio-appropriate shoes below.  Also, a hack I use to create a high ponytail is using a black stretch headband as a hair tie - it lifts way more and I love the way it looks.
